A student in Mrs. Perry's class works on a craft inspired by Hispanic heritage

Springfield High students in Mrs. Perry's class celebrated Hispanic Heritage Month by creating a variety of crafts that originated in Hispanic countries.

Students learned about cross stitching, papel picado, amate bark painting, mandalas and huichol yarn painting.

In the Springfield City School District, we are proud to celebrate the diversity of all our students. Hispanic Heritage Month runs from Sept. 15 until Oct. 15.
